It’s time for Manchester City to join the competition for PSG star Neymar, who is still frequently linked with a move to the Premier League.
L’Equipe, a French publication, reports that Pep Guardiola “probed” the player to “find out his intentions” today.
Neymar, as was previously reported, is not opposed to leaving PSG this summer, which has Premier League clubs interested in pursuing him.
Chelsea, Manchester United, and Newcastle United would then join Manchester City in this competition.
Despite Pep Guardiola’s request, the signing evidently wasn’t favourably received.
According to L’Equipe’s sources, there is, at least for the time being, “very little chance” that Manchester City would sign Neymar.
The reason the Premier League winners wouldn’t be able to sign the Brazilian is not made clear in the report. That might be a financial concern, or the forward might want it if leaving PSG isn’t a problem.
Despite the numerous reports about Neymar’s leaving, the French media has yet to reveal the asking price for the Ligue 1 team.
It’s important to note that significant accusations have already been made about Neymar and Manchester United this month, and many of them appear to be an attempt by PSG to promote the star.
