Manchester United gave it their all but came up just short against Manchester City in the FA Cup final, giving up the chance to prevent Pep Guardiola’s team from repeating their Treble-winning feat.
The majority of the game went according to Erik ten Hag’s plan, although he was let down by some players’ performances.
While much has already been said about David de Gea’s poor performance, Jadon Sancho also has to be questioned because he once again had a subpar performance.
ETH and United are losing patience with Sancho.
Another game that perfectly captured everything wrong with the Englishman was the Wembley final. Due to his weakness in 50/50 fights, the other side would always outmuscle him.
The 23-year-old was his customarily shy self, hesitant to challenge his opponent and always seeking to play the safe pass rather than attempting to challenge his opponent.
There were no justifications for Sancho’s abject failure in his rookie season, which the club’s unpredictable manager situation was somewhat to blame for.
Ten Hag continued to support him and gave him time to become better physically and emotionally, but the former Manchester City youth standout has never come close to realising his enormous potential.
The England international now resembles nothing like the man United spent €85 million for in 2021 after a protracted one-year pursuit.
Sancho, a talented and quick winger who once played for Dortmund, is rumoured to be considering a return there. At the time, he single-handedly decimated the opponents.
Dortmund may step in and attempt to help the player regain his lost confidence as United and Ten Hag’s tolerance with him is wearing thin.
Sancho on loan at Dortmund?
Sancho wants to go back to Dortmund, according to Bild.. He claims that United has already told him that he must leave the team in the summer.
“A refund is NOT precluded, in accordance with BILD. Sports director Sebastian Kehl is always in touch with his advisers from the Project Elite Group, despite the fact that there haven’t been any direct discussions about a summer transfer with Sancho yet.
“One thing is certain: there won’t be a repurchase for the foreseeable future. Sancho, who has a contract through 2026, is still pricey for BVB at 55 million euros. Therefore, the only option would be a loan.
Although a return to Dortmund does not guarantee a return to form, United has little other option. Ten Hag is now unable to maintain passengers because of Sancho.
