Moises Caicedo, a midfielder who has been linked to Manchester United, has continued to express his love for the team on social media.
In annoyance with a stalled deal for Mason Mount, The Times claimed over the weekend that Manchester United will turn its attention to Moises Caicedo.
This might have just been a ruse to annoy Mount’s team Chelsea, who want to sign Caicedo and are reportedly prepared to negotiate a deal with Brighton, according to Fabrizio Romano.
However, Caicedo has a soft spot for the Red Devils and was reported as saying in 2020 by The Sun: “Manchester United are my favourite club.”

Manchester United players, including Casemiro, a fellow South American midfielder, are active on social media.
Moises Caicedo and a number of other users, including Marcelo, a former Real Madrid teammate, “liked” a photo that Casemiro posted on Instagram.

Despite rumors that the club would pursue Caicedo, Manchester United has not given up on a deal for Mason Mount.
Caicedo is Chelsea’s top objective, according to Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube post, and they seem to be the team most motivated to sign the Ecuadorian international.
Today, according to reports from Talksport and Sky Sports, United has contacted Brighton but has not yet made an offer.
As much as Caicedo may show a liking for Manchester United, the Red Devils have not totally reciprocated it, backing out of a move to sign him for just £5 million in 2021.
If the club don’t fight to sign him this summer, and he heads to Chelsea, Caicedo’s admiration for United might just dry up.
