The captain of Liverpool has been working hard in preparation for his upcoming return to Melwood and the start of the new season.
Jurgen Klopp, the manager of the Reds, has already made significant investments in his ageing midfield this summer, so Henderson will have a quick chance to impress him.
Following the recent acquisitions of World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister and RB Leipzig star Dominic Szoboszlai, the 33-year-old will have his job cut out for him next season.
Henderson has recently been connected to a transfer to Steven Gerrard’s Al Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia, but no official offer has been made as of yet.
The England international appears to be in top shape ahead of preseason, wherever he plays football next season.
The Liverpool player posted photos of his toned physique and off-season workout routine on Instagram.
As he practices with the ball and runs through sprints in the sunshine, Henderson can be seen.
In preparation for an enormous season ahead, he also posted pictures of himself performing a variety of core and bodyweight exercises.
Henderson also uploaded a picture of a motivational saying he uses to push himself through his workouts, like many sportsmen do.
“Don’t dream on winning, train for it,” the quote said.
As Liverpool looks to put a disappointing campaign behind them, the photographs will no doubt excite its supporters and manager Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool will not participate in the Champions League the following season due to their fifth-place league performance.
Klopp, however, will be hoping that his team’s hiccup can be soon corrected with a top four push next season amid a close competition with Arsenal. Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Newcastle.
