Transfer Tug-of-War: Four Clubs Enter the Fray to Secure ‘Talented’ Man City Player
Four European clubs are interested in signing Savinho, a winger for Manchester City, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The 19-year-old spent the previous season on loan at PSV Eindhoven, but now a number of European clubs are interested in signing him this summer.
Clubs are interested in Savinho
In a recent tweet, Romano expressed his thoughts on the predicament.
“Understand four clubs are interested in Savinho, a talented winger from Brazil who is currently on loan at Manchester City,” he stated.
“PSV and Girona are pressing for a new loan agreement that lasts until 2024; AS Roma and Braga have also requested Savinho’s information. In the next days, the final decision.
The Brazilian made just eight senior appearances for the Dutch team last season throughout the Eredivisie and the Europa League, contributing two assists in the process.
In fact, despite only making six substitute appearances in the Dutch league, he got a season rating of 6.47/10 from WhoScored for his efforts during the 97 minutes of play.
He also played in nine games for PSV’s U21 team, where he contributed two assists and two goals.
While he may not have had much of an effect with the first team, the fact that he is being pursued by a number of clubs this summer suggests that he has attracted their interest.
Moving forward, we believe that the teenager’s best move would be to go out on another loan move if he isn’t expected to earn regular playing time at the Etihad Stadium next season, which appears likely considering his lack of senior action and goal contributions at PSV.
For him and his career, joining a club where he could play regular senior football would be the best option this time.
