Gabriel Jesus reportedly feels underappreciated by media critics and some media outlets for his performance for Arsenal.
According to a report from Football Transfers, the Brazilian believes that his performances have been underappreciated ever since he left Manchester City.
Arsenal’s acquisition of Gabriel Jesus turned out to be a game-changer. Of course, he arrived at the Emirates having struggled to make a name for himself at the Etihad Stadium.
Jesus considers the Arsenal transfer to be disrespectful.
However, after a few minutes of last season’s first game, Jesus showed himself to be precisely what Mikel Arteta’s team needed following a terribly disappointing season for their strikers in front of goal.
Jesus went on to contribute six assists and 11 goals to the Premier League. And if he hadn’t sustained a major injury while competing in the World Cup, those figures would have been substantially higher.
It appears that most people are fully aware of how admirable Jesus can be. However, it’s possible that the Arsenal striker himself is unsure if he is receiving the recognition he merits.
According to Football Transfers, the 26-year-old is dissatisfied with and feels humiliated by how the media has handled him.
Jesus has received some criticism. He eventually went six months without scoring at one point.
He spent the majority of that time recovering from his ailment while watching from the sidelines. However, that also included 16 appearances across all competitions for club and country.
When Jesus is in charge of the line, Arsenal performs far better. There isn’t a shadow of a question about that.
He can certainly have few complaints, though, if some feel that he should have scored more goals during that phase of the campaign.
