It’s possible that another three days may pass before Rasmus Hojlund’s move to Manchester United is officially announced.
Hojlund, 20, reportedly arrived on Tuesday after schedule and United’s plans for the signing of the Dane have changed. At 4:15 p.m., Hojlund arrived at Manchester Airport.
Hojlund was scheduled to visit some fans and participate in signing-related activities today, but everything has been postponed as United concentrates on his physical.
The agreement is not even remotely in peril, and United is now considering making an announcement over the weekend in time for their home friendly against Lens at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday.
On Saturday morning, after indicating they would not pay more than £60 million for Hojlund, United, and Atalanta reached an agreement on a fee of £64 million plus £8 million in add-ons.
After United was advised against making an offer for Harry Kane, the club turned its attention to Hojlund as its top priority in the striker department.
According to senior United sources, Hojlund is a “raw diamond” who, with Erik ten Hag as his coach, has the potential to become one of the top goal scorers in European football.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Hojlund and United boss Ten Hag spoke via video chat near the close of the previous campaign. Hojlund changed agencies and is now represented by Ten Hag’s agent, SEG International.
