According to a recent article from The Sun, Manchester City are now prepared to sign Brighton & Hove Albion winger Kaoru Mitoma as a substitute for Riyad Mahrez.
This summer, who will Manchester City be acquiring?
The 20-year-old Florian Wirtz of Bayer Leverkusen has recently been linked to Man City, who are actively looking for a replacement for Mahrez. Pep Guardiola is rumored to be a major fan of the player.
Fabrizio Romano, a transfer expert, has provided an analysis of two further players on the Citizens’ list of objectives, saying:
They need to replace Riyad Mahrez, and I predict that in the last weeks, Man City will look for a winger. There are definitely two players on the list, and Michael Olise is one of them. Nothing has been decided as of yet.
“Jeremy Doku is also well-liked by City. Check out the third name, which is currently unclear.
Although Olise’s contract with Crystal Palace only has a £35 million release clause, City are likely to face competition for his services from Chelsea, who Romano also named as potential suitors.
According to a report from The Sun, Mitoma is now also emerging as a target for the Sky Blues, with Guardiola ready to raid Brighton for the Japan international, who the manager is believed to be a big fan of.
The 26-year-old has two years left on his Brighton contract, but he is yet to put pen to paper on a new five-year deal, potentially opening the door for a move to the Etihad Stadium this summer.
