Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino expressed confidence in the club’s future success in an interview with Sky Sports prior to the Luton Town encounter.
Pochettino highlighted the top players he has at his disposal while outlining the procedure. He also touched on the unfortunate aspect of some of them being injured.
Wesley Fofana might not play this season owing to an ACL, and many other players, if we have a look at some of the names: summer signing Christopher Nkunku is out until December, Carney Chukwuemeka is out for a few weeks due to a knee setback, and many others.

When asked about the possible success this side could experience in the near future, the manager responded as follows (h/t Sky Sports):
“Sometimes you win games but, in the end, you go down. But if you wait a little bit, with patience to build something, maybe the results will not arrive when you are playing well but you can be consistent and end the season where you deserve to be.
“They are good feelings but we cannot translate them into points. We keep working and the players are really committed to the way we want to play.
“It is a process. We need to wait but for sure we are going to be really successful in the future.”
The addition of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, who Chelsea signed this summer after beating off Liverpool to their services, gives their midfield a significant boost.
The team has to make sure Pochettino had a usable midfield to construct his team around after a few high-profile departures from that position.
While it is wonderful to see Caicedo, Lavia, and Enzo Fernandez working together in the middle of the park, the young group would need a few weeks to play together before generating results reliably.
Nicolas Jackson has had a successful start to life at Stamford Bridge up front, but he hasn’t yet established himself. It seems likely that if he accomplishes that against Luton, goals will start to flow for him.
🗣️ “That is the project that they presented to me when I signed. That was the idea of the club.”
