The Blues had a successful transfer window this summer, bringing in nine players who will contend for starting positions in Mauricio Pochettino’s team right away.

One of the newcomers was Disasi, who received a promotion after a standout season with Monaco and several World Cup matches for France.
At the beginning of August, Chelsea spent around £38.5 million for the 25-year-old, and Disasi has since played every minute of the club’s games in 2023–24 across all competitions.
Disasi has been a part of a team that has lost in the Premier League to West Ham United and Nottingham Forest despite scoring against Liverpool on the first day of the season.
Disasi might be held responsible for at least one of the goals Chelsea allowed in their 3-1 loss to West Ham, but under Pochettino, he has continued to be a frequent name on the club roster.
However, Gallas, a footballer who played for the West Londoners from 2001 to 2006 and made 225 appearances during that time, has expressed doubt about the choice.
Gallas maintained in a statement to the Gambling Zone that his compatriot “must improve a lot” if he wants to maintain a spot in the team for the duration of the campaign.
Gallas said: “I was one of the guys who didn’t understand why Disasi joined Chelsea. The Premier League is a different league in terms of difficulty. Even though he is a physical player he has to understand strikers will be very strong when they challenge him.

Disasi has been chosen for the France team to play in their upcoming two games during the break in international play.
