According to reports, Kylian Mbappe would be persuaded to join Liverpool if the Reds made a bid for the PSG star in 2024.
In light of Mbappe’s impending departure from Paris and Liverpool’s longstanding admiration for the 24-year-old, L’Equipe reports that the French superstar will perform for the Anfield team at the conclusion of current season.
While Liverpool may seem like a strange choice for Mbappe, Real Madrid is still the obvious favorite to sign the attacker. This is especially true if the Reds make a run at the UEFA Champions League next year.
The likelihood of Mbappe joining Liverpool is typically a non-starter because of the costs associated with such a move.
The Reds may now have the cash necessary to recruit Mbappe, though, as Mohamed Salah may depart Liverpool for what might be a world-record price of £200 million.
The Frenchman is undoubtedly one of just a select few attackers who may ever succeed Salah at Liverpool, but if the right circumstances arise, something might be done in 2024.
Mbappe would be the ideal Salah replacement for Liverpool.
The unique and rare circumstances that would need to occur for Mbappe to join Liverpool are undeniable, but the 24-year-old is the ideal option to succeed Salah at the club.
Although Mbappe is not a right-sided forward by nature, his status as probably the best forward in football will make the transition simple for the PSG player, especially under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp.
Mbappe has also expressed interest in joining Liverpool after seemingly endless links to the club, should his transfer to Real Madrid fall through for any reason.
