Juventus is apparently interested in Thomas Partey as a possible Paul Pogba replacement, and Mikel Arteta is eager to move the Arsenal player in January.
According to Football Transfers, Partey had conversations with Arteta about his future before the international break since he is not satisfied with the right-back position he is now filling for Arsenal.
Mateo Kovacic, who has missed the past two matches for Croatia due to a slight back issue, was also absent on Thursday. He may be in for a little period of time on the sidelines, according to reports in his home nation. Guardiola will update the media on the trio on Friday.
The midfielder who makes £200,000 per week (Spotrac) is now injured and is unlikely to play before October 2023.
According to Football Transfers, Partey will be free to leave Arsenal in January 2024, and Arteta is okay with that. Arsenal has agreed to consider offers for Partey.
Arsenal could be making a mistake with Thomas Partey.
We don’t believe Thomas Partey should be sold by Arsenal in the middle of the campaign.
Although Partey has been starting at right back thus far this season, anything might happen in the upcoming weeks and months.
Partey performed admirably for Arsenal last season, and the North London club does need to ensure that they have the greatest squad possible if they hope to win the Premier League title this year.
Arsenal should not sell Partey in January or at the end of the season if they do intend to do so.
Partey has so far appeared in 84 games in the Premier League.
In those games, the midfielder has five goals and three assists.
