The Argentina international had a bad day at Molineux, whilst Mac Allister has adapted to life at Liverpool without any trouble after moving there from Brighton in the summer.
For the Reds, Mac Allister started in midfield but was sent off after just four minutes and was replaced by Luis Diaz at halftime.
The 24-year-old, who had been representing Argentina at the international level, had only recently returned to training with Liverpool on Friday.
Despite the defeat on Saturday, Mac Allister has won over the hearts of the Liverpool supporters and seems to be a hit in his new locker room.
Additionally, he appears to have had a love-hate bond with Reds left defender Kostas Tsimikas.
Indeed, Tsimikas was the subject of a photo that Mac Allister uploaded on Instagram with the description “The most annoying guy in the world” and a cry-laughter emoji.
Roberston has reduced Tsimikas’ playing time, although the Liverpool team believes him to be a very popular player.
The Athletic reports that the Greek international is even expected to agree to a two-year contract extension to stay at Liverpool through 2027.
The left-back joined Liverpool from Olympiacos in 2020 and has made 62 appearances across all competitions. In 2022, he scored the game-winning penalty as Liverpool defeated Chelsea in the FA Cup final.
Tsimikas has a contract with Liverpool that expires in 2025, although he is expected to receive an extension due to his significance to Jurgen Klopp’s team.
