Mykhailo Mudryk scored a left-footed goal during a Chelsea practise, and Mauricio Pochettino cheered him on. The fact that the Ukrainian international has had difficulties since joining the team earlier this year is no secret. Mudryk briefly looked like he was going to sign with London rivals Arsenal when Todd Boehly ruined the deal.

When all add-ons were taken into account, the American paid over £88 million to sign him in January, sneaking up on the Gunners. He has had trouble maintaining the form he displayed at his previous club, Shakhtar Donetsk.
Before Chelsea paid the enticing sum, Mudryk had already scored 10 goals across all competitions, including three in the Champions League. Since then, he has made 21 appearances for the Blues without scoring a goal.
Just nine months into an eight-year contract, worries over his long-term future at Stamford Bridge have already started to surface. However, Mudryk has continued to dazzle his new manager during training.
Pochettino observed Mudryk’s tremendous left-footed strike as it went into the top corner. His manager, who has yet to start a game this season, gave him a slap on the back for his effort.
The hope of Mudryk’s supporters is that he is now resembling the player who convinced Chelsea to give him an initial £62 million less than a year ago. In the words of one supporter, “Bro will come good, I have no doubt about that.”
Not everyone shares this optimism; others seem to have given up hope that the winger would succeed. A critic commented: “That’s an empty post. These videos have been widely distributed yet have no match outcomes.
