Carney Chukwuemeka has reportedly resumed some form of training, which is excellent news for Chelsea, after suffering a knee injury in a 3-1 loss to West Ham United. Chukwuemeka will shortly join group training.
Mauricio Pochettino has stated that the midfielder will soon practise with the complete team. The midfielder was originally thought to be away for six weeks, but he has returned earlier than we had anticipated. The young man showed promise before getting hurt, and he hopes to pick up where he left off.
The 19-year-old cost £20 million to acquire from Aston Villa last summer, but four successive managers hardly ever played him. The midfielder under Pochettino started both of the 1-1 draws with Liverpool and then the loss to the Hammers.

Against the Hammers, the young player made a debut for Chelsea but unfortunately got hurt. The Blues have struggled without him, winning just one of their last six Premier League games.
However, the 1-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion eases the strain on the Argentine boss as the Blues try to restore their composure. The supporters will hope that this marks a turning point for the team.
The 19-year-old’s nearing fitness will be an encouraging development for Pochettino given how important Chukwuemeka has been to him. I hope we don’t send him back too soon before he’s totally fit.
Despite being young, Chukwuemeka has shown incredible maturity in the games, and if it weren’t for the injuries, he would have advanced more with each game. It was unfortunate for him that an accident hindered his development and that he now had to retrace his steps in order to rediscover his rhythm.
His assurance in his capacity to outmuscle defenders in one-on-one scenarios and his ability to manage the ball in confined places have stood out. I’m hoping he succeeds in Blue and accomplishes amazing things.
After his return, Pochettino will have a significant boost and more choices. We’ll see how long it takes for him to be ready to begin the games after his unexpectedly quick recovery.
