According to a story from The Evening Standard, such is the case.
They assert that Mykhailo Mudryk will undergo additional medical testing to evaluate his alleged injury issue today (Wednesday).
The 22-year-old Chelsea winger’s fitness status is currently ‘unclear’ after it was reported that he was taken off at halftime of Monday night’s 2-0 Premier League loss to Fulham due to a quad injury.
The Ukraine international is currently listed as having a “doubt” about playing on Saturday afternoon against Burnley.
In Monday’s victory for Fulham, Mudryk scored his first-ever Chelsea goal while displaying excellent skill and control to tuck in a left-footed finish. This occurs while he is getting a run of starts and displaying some scary performances.
The fact that an injury occurs exactly when there is cause for celebration seems to be typical bad luck for this group of athletes.
We won’t risk Mudryk on the eve of the October international break unless we have an official word about his eligibility to play Burnley.
According to the Evening Standard, Blues defender Levi Colwill recently remarked that Mudryk has all the tools necessary to rank among the finest players in the world.
From the outside, it appears like this is a cohesive team of athletes who are all pushing one another to succeed.
If all the parts of the jigsaw puzzle are put together, Mudryk has the unique qualities and untapped potential to be a player. We’re becoming more and more certain that Mauricio Pochettino is the ideal head coach to guide his as well.
If the Ukrainian speedster is unable to play against Burnley, Ian Maatsen or Raheem Sterling may have an opportunity to stand out in the wide areas.
