Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, has been instructed by a Premier League official to “accept” that VAR incorrectly disallowed Luis Diaz’s first-half goal against Tottenham last Saturday.

Following PGMOL’s release of the audio between VAR officials, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp called for the replay of their match against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday. Klopp claimed that this was the only reasonable course of action.

Unai Emery, the manager of Aston Villa, has stated that Klopp must accept the outcome regardless of the error while also emphasising how VAR has helped eliminate the great majority of errors from the game.

During his press conference prior to Aston Villa’s Europa Conference League match against Bosnian team Zrinjski, Emery noted that there were more mistakes prior to the implementation of VAR.

“At this point, I can accept some VAR errors. There are simply a few… minor errors. Obviously, Liverpool made a significant error against Tottenham in the most recent match, but we must recognise that there were more errors in the past without VAR.

Because it’s common, I listened in on the officials’ talk. They expressed regret over their error, but they were unable to correct it because play had already resumed. It’s an error. I’ll take it. Of course, it is harder for Liverpool.

Even though it’s harder for Jurgen, I accept it. I am aware that mistakes were more common in the past than they are now. But if there is a mistake, you must accept it as before. Therefore, “no, no” (to a replay; you must accept it as you did before VAR).

Additionally, a repeat appears improbable. The result stands despite the glaring error that was caused by a “lapse of concentration and loss of focus,” according to the PGMOL, because the Premier League would not examine the possibility of redoing the game, according to BBC Sport.
