Romeo Lavia and Christopher Nkunku of Chelsea have received encouraging injury updates from Mauricio Pochettino. Nkunku wants to return following the November international break, according to the Argentine boss, and Lavia is anticipated to make his debut.
A knee injury sustained during the preseason forced Nkunku to undergo surgery, which kept him out for extended periods of time. However, he is close to recovering and should be back on the pitch shortly.
Lavia also came from Southampton to join the Blues. After suffering an ankle injury, the Belgian midfielder is almost ready to return, but he has begun exercising on grass.
Christopher Nkunku will return following the November international break, according to Pochettino.
Chelsea will benefit from both players’ comeback since it will highlight the team’s excellence in the areas that they represent. Positive news on both players’ injury recoveries was announced by the Argentine boss ahead of Sunday’s match against Manchester City (h/t Metro).
“We had a conversation, and he said to me, “I want to be ready for after the international break. I said to him yesterday You are a liar, but he is doing really well, and we are very happy with how he is doing with his recovery. He is very professional.”
‘’Lavia is also close. He trained today on the pitch. Hopefully with the team next week.’’
Since they signed, the fans have been dying to see them play, and as they get closer to peak fitness, their playing days are becoming closer. Nkunku is anticipated to make his debut after the November international break, and Lavia might possibly be available. Two excellent players will bolster the team with their skills.
We will benefit greatly from Nkunku’s arrival because, given his goal-scoring efficiency, he will offer that clinical precision in front of goal. We have a lot of choices in midfield, so Lavia’s absence hasn’t been felt too much, but his return will be very beneficial to us.
