Ten Hag Signing Gets Green Light, but Surprise Twist Unveiled – £50m Stipulation Revealed
According to TEAMtalk, Manchester United is prepared to let Casemiro go during the January transfer window and has set a £50 million price tag for the Brazilian.
Manchester United‘s season hasn’t gone well thus far. The team has been in disarray due to disgruntled players and a takeover drama that is changing everything at the top. Several players at United are thinking about their future as they are now lagging in the Premier League standings.
Among them is midfielder Casemiro, who arrived from Real Madrid last year and has had trouble staying in the starting lineup because of fitness concerns and injuries.
In order to give Erik ten Hag’s team new legs as they strive to qualify for the Champions League the next season, sources close to the club tell TEAMtalk that they are searching for a successor for the Brazilian and are amenable to a January sale.
Following his £70 million move in the summer of 2022, the five-time Champions League winner is open to all offers and may be persuaded to move on after just 18 months at Old Trafford.
According to several people close to the player, the 31-year-old will probably leave the team in January or the summer after growing weary of the training environment and his team’s troubles. He was brought in to assist lead the team back to the top of the Premier League.
One of the most decorated players in the world has Saudi Arabia as a real option, and four clubs are thinking about making an offer in January after hearing rumours that the defensive midfielder may join several prominent SPL teams.
The French club’s executives have reportedly been admiring the midfield player for a number of years, so it appears that Paris Saint-Germain has not wavered in their interest. Although there is less likelihood of this occurring before the summer, Ligue 1 could be forced to act if Saudi teams make a move.
United hopes to fetch £50 million for one of the club’s highest paid players, who has a contract through 2026. After scouting and listing multiple players as possible targets, they would reinvest the funds in a new target.
Erik ten Hag is already looking for Man Utd successors.
Joao Neves, a quality player for Benfica, is a top target for potential suitors, but the Portuguese team is clear that if a team wants to court the 19-year-old in the winter transfer window, they would need to use his £104 million release clause.
Bruno Fernandes, a current Red Devil, has expressed that he would “love” to play with Neves in Manchester and may have a role in any deal to bring Neves to Old Trafford.
Fernandes is sceptical of the midfielder’s place in Erik ten Hag’s lineup, but Neves may be able to fill the void left by Casemiro’s probable exit.
However, while his employers attempt to get used to Sir Jim Ratcliffe leading the team and look to strike the greatest deals for some of the top players in the world, Casemiro might have to wait until after January to depart the team.
