Klopp’s Conundrum: Alisson’s Positive Update Marred by Mac Allister’s Dismal Outlook
After missing the previous three games due to injury, Alisson shared a snapshot of his gloves at the AXA Training Centre on Thursday, inspiring supporters.
The Brazilian might now make an early return from his hamstring issue. He had always been scheduled to return when Man United visits Anfield on December 17.
On Friday, Klopp told reporters, “Alisson looks good.”
“I have to check with the coaches, the medical department and Ali, of course, to see if he’s good enough for tomorrow.”
The manager acknowledged that his starting striker had “trained normal” on Thursday, but it appears that Caoimhin Kelleher will start against Palace.
Mac Allister, on the other hand, will not be making the trip to Selhurst Park since he cut his knee badly during the 2-0 victory over Sheffield United.
Klopp said, “We have to see day by day because Macca doesn’t look good.”

“After the game, they were quite optimistic that it wasn’t that serious. It isn’t that serious, but around this time of year, missing five days equates to roughly 12 games.
“We must wait. I doubt he will be ready for tomorrow’s match against Union SG, and I’m not sure how he will fare against Man United on Thursday or Sunday.
Liverpool’s long-term absences include Joel Matip (ACL), Diogo Jota (hamstring), Andy Robertson (shoulder), Thiago (hip), and Stefan Bajcetic (calf).
