Regarding Mason Greenwood, a Manchester United loanee, Getafe manager Jose Bordalas made a huge statement.
At the Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid on Wednesday, Getafe pulled off an incredible comeback to hold Atletico Madrid to a 3-3 draw. The hosts suffered a severe early setback when, in the 38th minute, central defender Stefan Savic was sent off. Griezmann, however, calmed Atletico’s fears in the 44th minute with a goal.

In the second half, Alvaro Morata gave Atletico a 2-1 lead in the 63rd minute after former Real Madrid star Borja Mayoral equalized for Getafe in the 53rd. Then, with 10 men, Atletico quickly built a 3-1 lead as Griezmann finished off his brace in the 69′ penalty kick.
Atletico appeared to be coasting to win, but Oscar Rodriguez’s comeback in the 87th minute showed Getafe had other ideas. In stoppage time, Mayoral scored once more, and the game ended in a 3-3 draw.
Following the game, Getafe manager Jose Bordalas praised Mason Greenwood, a Manchester United loanee, for his crucial role in their comeback. Greenwood, who played on the right side of Getafe’s attack, was a continuous threat to Atletico Madrid’s defence.
Like the entire team, this was an amazing game. I have said it since the day he arrived: Bordalas is an incredible player who will gradually reach his peak performance. The team has performed admirably, and we have taken excellent care of him,” the coach added.
“We are proud of the team’s performance, even though we were penalised for a few goalkeeping errors. Football fans will have loved the match and the sense that this squad has persevered despite conceding goals in a manner that we did after levelling the score, dominating — any team would have given up at 3-1, but this team never gives up,” he continued.
Greenwood has performed well after going on loan to Spain. Getafe has stated unequivocally that they hope to prolong the Englishman’s stay in Spain past the terms of the present agreement. However, United hasn’t decided what will happen to him yet.
