Max Verstappen has disclosed that he and fellow three-time F1 world champion Nelson Piquet don’t discuss anything about motorsports.
Since 2020, Verstappen and Kelly, Piquet’s daughter, have been romantically involved.
When he’s not at the racecourse, the Dutchman disclosed that he avoids social media and won’t discuss Formula One.
Verstappen told Formula1.Nl that what he did in private was private business.
On social media, I don’t follow many accounts or individuals associated with Formula 1.
For the sake of balance in my life, I truly just follow athletes and other sports. At home, in particular, I don’t want to be constantly aware of everything that’s happening in the paddock.
“That definitely holds true for trips to Brazil with family, like when I see [Piquet].”
“We don’t actually discuss auto racing. He has had plenty of conversations on that throughout his life.
“After a while, you become tired of talking about it and don’t feel like doing it anymore. I am aware that life is more than just that.”
When the 2019 Formula One season begins in Bahrain next month, Verstappen will be hoping to win his fourth championship.
