The Liverpool boss will undoubtedly be concerned by the claims regarding Mohamed Salah’s health. But Andy Robertson has quietly returned among all of that.
Robertson will probably be included in the team for tonight’s match against Fulham, according to confirmation from assistant manager Pep Lijnders yesterday. It will be the 29-year-old’s first appearance for the Reds since October 8th, if he plays.
Robbo is a well-liked teammate, so Liverpool fans will be happy to have him back. Curtis Jones also acknowledged that the players are thrilled about the news in an interview with liverpoolfc.com.
He has always been a vital member of our team, and not just because of his football skills. The 22-year-old added, “It’s more his character around the place as well. “He’s had a difficult time because of his injury and the length of his absence, but he has always been the same guy—always wanting to laugh and grinning at the guys who are succeeding.
Additionally, he is constantly surrounded by the young guys who come in and play games—Conor Bradley, for instance. Con would admit that if he plays games well and does well, he will always receive a text from him. The same is true for Harvey Elliott and other individuals who enter, such as Cody Gakpo and Dom Szoboszlai. As you might say, he is a family man. We are very happy to have him back and are eager for him to rejoin the team.
Robertson set for his return back
As Robertson has been out with an injury for such a long time, it is sense that his teammates would miss him. After all, it has been nearly four months.
However, you get the impression that Robbo amplifies this even more. One of the team’s liveliest and most animated members is the captain of Scotland.
As evidenced by this recent story from former backup goalie Andy Lonergan, Robertson is in the centre of everything.
In that regard, he has been a constant for more than six years. The £10 million signing from Hull City is incredibly fit and has hardly missed a match.
Consequently, it appears that Robertson has had difficulty comprehending the spell out. It must have been strange for his comrades to have him absent.
That will have been made worse by the absence of Kostas Tsimikas, a fellow left-back and joker in the pack.
However, Liverpool has managed to get by without both their starting and backup left-back. For that, Joe Gomez deserves a great deal of gratitude, and Robertson probably had some criticism for Joe over his time spent in the wrong.
We’ll have to wait and see whether Robbo shows up this evening. If not, though, it isn’t too far away. Andy, it’s nice to see you fit and well again. Welcome back.
