According to sources, Man City is poised to sign striker Alexis Tibidi, a member of the France under-20 national team, on a loan agreement that will last until the end of the current campaign.
Tibidi, a 2021 graduate of Toulouse and ESA Brive in France, earned his first professional deal with Stuttgart. A year later, he went on loan to Rheindorf Altach in Austria for the 2022–2023 season.
Tibidi was signed by City Football Group’s Troyes in January 2023, with a contract that would expire in the summer of 2027. Despite his disastrous first move away from the French team, Tibidi is now moving to the club at the top of the City Group hierarchy.
Sport Witness, who translated and re-posted RMC Sport’s information, states that the Troyes forward will be joining Manchester City on a loan deal that will last until the end of the current campaign.
The player is reportedly being considered to play for Manchester City’s under-23 team at the Etihad Stadium despite failing to accrue any playing time while on loan at NEC Nijmegen in Holland during the first half of the season, according to the report.
However, RMC Sport suggests that Tibidi will also “occasionally train” with Pep Guardiola’s team throughout the next six months, giving him a fantastic chance to make an impression on the industry’s top players.
After playing just 11 games this season, Manchester City finds itself at the bottom of the Premier League 2 division. As a result, they will be eager to add a new player to their Elite Development Squad.
Manchester City has only won one league game this season, drawn three times, and lost seven games overall—a dismal start for the team’s next generation of young players.
