Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, responds forcefully to reports about Barcelona
The statement by Xavi Hernandez that he would not be returning to the role for the upcoming season has led to Barcelona being linked to other coaches in the previous twenty-four hours.
Although every other coach questioned about the position has rejected the idea, Barca Athletic manager Rafael Marquez expressed interest in the position, much to the dismay of the Barcelona leadership. The managers of Arsenal, Mikel Arteta, responded with far more vigour than Luis Enrique, Michel Sanchez, or Thiago Motta, who have all stated that they are concentrating on their ongoing roles.
Arteta was prepared to leave the Gunners at the conclusion of the season, according to a report that surfaced on Sunday night. He had informed those in his tight circle of his intentions. Mikel, however, called the story “complete nonsense” and expressed his happiness at Arsenal in addition to expressing his disgust about it.
The La Masia product moved to Real Sociedad, Paris Saint-Germain, Rangers, Everton, and Arsenal after leaving Barcelona early in his career. Arteta, who has a contract with Arsenal through 2025, was Pep Guardiola’s assistant at Manchester City.
