According to Kicker, Aurele Amenda, a defender for Young Boys, will not be joining Eintracht Frankfurt until January.
Frankfurt agreed to pay the 20-year-old €8–10 million in January in an attempt to strengthen their defensive alternatives. The defender will also sign a contract with the team that will last until 2028. The agreement, though, required Young Boys to sign a replacement, which they were unable to do.
The 20-year-old will join the Bundesliga in the summer after the transfer is all but confirmed.
It is obvious that Die Adler want to shorten their age and strengthen their defence. The summer signing of Nathaniel Brown, a defender for Nürnberg, has already been revealed by the club. In addition, it appears from the summer additions of Niels Nkounkou and William Pacho that Frankfurt views Robin Koch as their defensive captain and intends to surround him with young players.
In an attempt to fill the void left by the departure of Randal Kolo Muani, Frankfurt was among the Bundesliga teams with the greatest activity during the summer. To strengthen their midfield, Frankfurt added Donny van de Beek from Manchester United on loan. On the offensive side, they recruited Hugo Ekitike (PSG), Sasa Kalajdzic (Wolves), and Jean Bahoya (Angers) permanently.
