Fabrizio Romano’s Insight on Players Seeking Chelsea Departures
An update on the issue about Chelsea’s first-team squad has been provided by Fabrizio Romano.
He said to CaughtOffside that he is unaware of any players who are regretting their choice to sign a contract with the Blues.
After just over a year with the club, a report surfaced yesterday saying that former record signing Enzo Fernandez was weighing his options.
It is well known that he was one of several new players the club brought in with lengthy contracts to spread out the cost.
Romano has since asserted, though, that he is unaware of anyone who is now seeking to leave their situation.
Fabrizio Romano on the disgruntled Chelsea players
He stated: “There have also been rumors that other Chelsea players are unhappy and that they regret committing to such long-term deals with the team. To be honest, though, I’m unaware of this. This week, I believe it’s simple to speak negatively about Chelsea, its players, management, and owners.
“Yes, it’s a challenging time, but it’s also far too simple to paint it in terms of negativity and catastrophe. Given how awful things get, how can players remain content? To assist the club and make things better, though, it’s also important to act professionally. This is typical football club life.
There is increasing pressure on Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino as it is said that the board is unsure of the appropriate course of action at this time.
With the EFL Cup final against Liverpool at the end of this month, it appears as though the Argentine will get his chance to salvage his career.
Pochettino’s victory over Jurgen Klopp at Wembley would be his first English football trophy.
