Chelsea wants to replace Pochettino with a Premier League-winning manager. Might “reach agreement” prior to the season’s finish
Rumours concerning Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement persist despite numerous assertions that Chelsea is unable to remove the Argentine manager this season due to the high cost of doing so.
According to Calico Napoli 24, the most recent information comes from DAZN in Italy, who states that Roberto Mancini is the most recent candidate to be added to the roster at Stamford Bridge.
The manager is reportedly a name that some Chelsea decision-makers “like a lot.” He has extensive knowledge of the Premier League, having won the trophy with Manchester City in 2012.
They actually think so highly of him that they “may reach an agreement” with the Saudi Arabian manager “for the league finale,” which means he takes over before the season ends.
It’s unclear if Chelsea can make that move realistically, mostly since there is still a long way to go and time for the existing management to get back up the ladder.
With 23 games played, the Blues are now ranked 11th in the Premier League; but, a victory over Crystal Palace on Monday night would move them ahead of Wolves.
With 15 games remaining, they are just 10 points behind Manchester United in sixth place, so Pochettino still has a lot of work ahead of him if he can get his Chelsea team clicking in the upcoming months.
