Following Arsenal’s rout of West Ham yesterday, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka both sent messages to Ethan Nwaneri via Instagram
After defeating West Ham 6-0 on Sunday afternoon at the London Stadium, the Gunners were playing brilliantly. The superb performance by Arsenal was capped off in the 67th minute by Declan Rice.
Notable scorers include Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba, Leandro Trossard, and Bukayo Saka, who each scored twice.
Mikel Arteta was able to give Ethan Nwaneri some playing time as Arsenal steamrolled to victory.
Following his Sunday cameo performance, Rice and Saka praised the 16-year-old, who came in to replace Gabriel Martinelli in the 77th minute.
Saka and Rice are astounded at the “special” Nwaneri Nwaneri uploaded a number of photos of himself playing at West Ham on Instagram on Sunday.
As he made his second appearance for the first team, his teammates gathered beneath the post to congratulate him.
Replies were left by people including Ben White, William Saliba, Aaron Ramsdale, and Martin Odegaard.
The best remarks, though, came from Saka and Rice, the latter of whom called the child a “baller.” Nwaneri was praised by Rice as having a “special talent.”
Nwaneri came off the bench against Brentford to become the youngest player to ever feature in the Premier League last season.
Already dubbed as a “unplayable” talent, Rice and Saka are the most recent to recognise the young player’s potential.
Nwaneri made history with the first team last season, and this was his first appearance for them yesterday.
There wasn’t much time for the Hale End Academy product to influence the game. However, he appeared quite bright after taking Martinelli’s place.
Additionally, Arteta acknowledged yesterday that he heard the Arsenal players “whispering” for him to start the young player. Nwaneri is a highly esteemed player at Arsenal, and it was fantastic to witness him accrue additional playing time on Sunday.
