Man United are apparently focusing on the Italian market.
Federico Chiesa, 26, is rapidly becoming a target for Juventus as he is set to expire from his contract in Turin in just 18 months. With the club looking to prevent losing its best players for nothing, a deal may be made once the summer transfer window opens.
And according to Fichajes, Man United is willing to match the Old Lady’s £43 million (€50 million) asking price, having recognised the 26-year-old as a player capable of leading a push for hardware.
But Old Trafford isn’t the only team showing interest in the former Fiorentina sensation; Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United has also been linked to a summer approach in recent times.
Like United, the Magpies want to add players to their roster before the upcoming campaign begins. Miguel Almiron may not be the ideal kind of player to lead the fallen giants to victory, therefore they may want to enhance their right-wing alternatives.
In any case, Juventus will be aware that unless they can come to an extension deal, they will have to cash in on the Italian European Championship winner from 2021 since Chiesa’s contract is about to expire.
