Spain’s manager: “Xavi has always been up to it.” Luis de la Fuente supports the Barcelona manager
After Xavi revealed he would be leaving Barcelona at the conclusion of the season, Spain’s manager Luis de la Fuente defended the player’s record there.
Barcelona Boss who won La Liga the previous season, has opened up about the difficulties of managing at Camp Nou and appears destined to end the current campaign without a trophy.
In response to questions regarding the Barcelona manager, De la Fuente believes that, despite his challenges this season, he has done a fantastic job leading the Catalan giants.
“I am aware of Xavi’s position on the Barça bench. In his first full season, he won both the league and the Super Cup. “He was exceptional, but in football, there are more losses than wins,” he remarked.
Girona and Real Madrid have performed better this year. Barcelona has also seen numerous injuries and setbacks. Xavi has consistently proven himself capable; last year, he gave an excellent performance and displayed remarkable professionalism.
While the Barcelona team searches for a replacement, Xavi will finish the season with the team. Numerous candidates have previously been brought forward, but as of right now, Hansi Flick, the former Bayern manager, seems to be the front-runner.
