Carlo Ancelotti is the best coach for Mbappé, but Capello explains why Ronaldo “affected” Madrid.
Although Carlo Ancelotti is regarded by Fabio Capello as “a professor,” he is the perfect coach for Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid. However, Capello points out that Ancelotti won La Liga at the Santiago Bernabeu in 2007 after selling Ronaldo, dubbed “The Brazilian.”
Real Madrid is prepared to accept the French sensation on a free transfer in 2024–2025 after Mbappé reportedly notified PSG that he will be leaving at the conclusion of his contract in June.
“Real Madrid and Mbappé made a fantastic decision.” Capello said Gazzetta, “Kylian will join a top team.”
Given that Ancelotti has managed numerous superstars in the past, the former manager of Milan and Juventus believes that the quantity of big players at the Bernabeu won’t be an issue.
In response to the question of how a manager should handle a locker room full of champions, Capello said, “With his personality.” The players make snap judgements about the coach. They can tell right away if you possess the abilities to be a group leader. Similar to a conductor is a coach.
Capello went on, “Carlo is even more—he’s a professor.”
“He understands what he’s doing, is charming and intelligent. More significantly, he makes the team feel important and knows how to position them optimally.
In addition, Capello was the coach of Real Madrid, who won La Liga twice: in 1996–1997 and again in 2006–07.
“Zidane wasn’t there, so I trained half of the Galacticos, although Real aren’t making many mistakes with transfers at the moment. They are really talented and have a great drive to win,” the former coach remarked.
“Our best player, nevertheless, had an impact on the team. Not Cristiano, but Ronaldo, the Brazilian. In actuality, everything changed when we made the decision to sell him in the middle of the season, and we won La Liga.
In the January 2007 transfer window, Ronaldo departed Capello’s Real Madrid to join Serie A powerhouse Milan, where he finished the season with seven goals in 14 games. After making two goals in six games in 2007–08, he left the Rossoneri, bringing his career at Corinthians to an end.
