Jurgen Klopp has previously declared that he will leave Liverpool at the end of the current campaign, but his representative has now provided insight into potential connections with Bayern Munich.
The agent for Jurgen Klopp has stated that the manager of Liverpool will not be joining Bayern Munich at the end of the current campaign.
Thomas Tuchel, Bayern’s current manager, will leave the Allianz Arena at the end of the current campaign, the club recently confirmed. This information comes after the Liverpool manager shockingly announced that, after eight years with the team, he would be leaving Anfield.
Even though Klopp, 56, announced he was leaving the team because he was worn out and needed time off to recover, there were immediate connections between him and the soon-to-be-open position at Bayern. Klopp’s representative, Marc Kosicke, shut down any rumors in response to these posts.
“After this current season, Jürgen Klopp will not coach any club or national team for a year,” he declared. That doesn’t alter at all.”
Klopp has publicly acknowledged that Bayern Munich has made numerous approaches to him in the past. He stated during a news conference in 2022: “I’m very confident I could have gone to Bayern a few times and won more trophies in my life. With a good probability, at least. No, I haven’t done it. I never followed through on a deal I had here at Liverpool.
In the past two years, Tuchel is the second manager to leave Bayern prematurely. The Bavarians appointed the former Chelsea manager in March 2021, following the club’s marching orders for Julian Nagelsmann.
However, following a demanding first full season in command, Tuchel will meet the same conclusion at the end of the season. In the Bundesliga, Bayern sit eight points behind Xabi Alonso’s unstoppable Bayer Leverkusen team despite goals from Harry Kane.
They are already down Lazio 1-0 in their Champions League Round of 16 match, having also been eliminated by third-tier team Saarbrucken in November.
Liverpool, meanwhile, leads the Premier League by one point, plays Chelsea in the League Cup Final, and is still alive in both the FA Cup and the Europa League.
