On Saturday in Saudi Arabia, Fury, 35, and Usyk, 37, are scheduled to square off for the undisputed heavyweight championship.
Originally scheduled for February 17, Fury was forced to pull out of the fight due to an eye cut he received while sparring.
When Fury was seen using crutches during a media day to promote the fight on Monday, there were new questions raised about the bout.
Moments before his father John Fury headbutted a member of Usyk’s crew, inciting commotion, footage showed Fury departing the event on a crutch.
Blood was flowing from the elder Fury’s face when he came out of the fight, and Stanislav Stepchuk, one of Usyk’s teammates, also sustained cuts to his head.
Although there is currently no indication that the fight is off, not much is known about why Tyson Fury was seen using crutches.
At Tuesday night’s grand entrances, the “Gipsy King” is anticipated to provide an additional update on his training for the bout.
If Fury is forced to withdraw from the fight, he might have to pay a hefty sum according to the conditions of holding the match in Saudi Arabia.
The man who brought world-class boxing to the Gulf state, Turki Alalshikh, is the adviser to the Saudi royal family. He confirmed during an episode of The MMA Hour With Ariel Helwani in February that both fighters would have to pay their opponent a substantial amount if they were to back out of the second date.
“If anyone manages to get out of the fight, I’ll give both warriors £10 million. This is the first thing, and I can assure you that there will be a major struggle that same night for another one.
“Let everyone know if someone is afraid and wants to go away from this conflict.
“May 18 – we will have Tyson vs Usyk.”
Alexander Krassyuk, the promoter of Usyk, has already voiced concerns about Fury’s readiness for the rescheduled bout.
He stated in April that if the British fighter withdraws, Filip Hrgovic might be called up to take on the unbeaten Ukrainian.
Hrgovic is slated to take on Daniel Dubois on June 1st, but should something happen to the WBC title holder, he might be called up for the undisputed fight.Although there is currently no indication that the fight is off, not much is known about why Tyson Fury was seen using crutches.

Krassyuk stated, “Usyk has actually had three camps for this fight.”
“He began training in September in preparation for the December battle. When we arrived at the [Francis] Ngannou fight to declare the bout for the undisputed, his team leaped to the defence saying he didn’t look good, so Usyk allowed him time to warm up at his camp in Saudi Arabia.
“We were then meant to fight on Feb 17, then we were rescheduled for May.”
“Tyson Fury has already withdrew from this fight four times,” he continued.
“Recall that in April of last year, we were considering a fight; he back out at that time as well. We fought Daniel Dubois for this reason. This is going to be Tyson Fury’s fourth camp.
“I must admit that I don’t have a lot of faith in the rematch taking place. Will Tyson Fury feel comfortable entering the ring once more if he loses? In theory, he could, but we all know what transpired during Wladimir Klitschko’s rematch.”Krassyuk stated, “Usyk has actually had three camps for this fight.”
