Cole Palmer believes Mauricio Pochettino will continue leading Chelsea into the upcoming campaign.
Since joining the Blues from Manchester City in the summer, Palmer has been a great asset, netting 25 goals and dishing out 14 assists across all competitions. Along the process, he has established himself as Chelsea’s most valuable player and gained a berth in the senior England squad.
Pochettino, like Palmer, is in his first season at Stamford Bridge, but it has been marred by rumours about his future. The Blues’ season has been somewhat uneven, but after defeating Brighton 2-1 on Wednesday, they are currently sixth in the Premier League.
Palmer gave the Seagulls the early lead, and Christopher Nkunku gave them the second. Palmer expressed his whole support for Pochettino and his wish to see the Argentine stay in charge as his side celebrated.
“The three points were necessary. Even if the game was difficult in the latter stages and throughout, it is important for us to have the three points and to remain in sixth position. I hope we can pull it off,” he remarked.
Chelsea is a large team, and everyone wants to go higher than sixth, but we must consider our starting point and performance over the entire season. This season, we have placed 13th and 12th.
“Returning to Europe is a positive move, as the previous season was similar. We have to fight for the manager because the players all adore him. Well done. It’s been a good season, and hopefully at the end we can play football in Europe.

Last week, Pochettino acknowledged that he might think about leaving this summer, which raised more questions about his future. However, the Chelsea manager refuted those allegations prior to Wednesday’s victory, stating that he is instead concentrating on preseason preparations.
He declared, “We are planning.” “We’re at work. Since I usually strive to be positive in an attempt to communicate my sentiments to you and the other individuals, I don’t think we can take some of my comments and interpret them negatively.
“However, I never said that we weren’t considering the future. We have the future in mind. The preseason is scheduled to begin, with all the data and plans in place. After that, it is up to me whether or not to go.”
