Cody Gakpo, a forward for Liverpool, was given a send-off by his old team, PSV. The attacker moved to Anfield last month but had been unable to say farewell until now.
Gakpo lost the chance to be greeted by the supporters of the teams for which he previously played because he transferred to Liverpool between the conclusion of the World Cup and the start of the Dutch league.
Gakpo would fly to Eindhoven for the send-off, according to PSV reporter Rik Elfrink, who shared a video of the celebration on Twitter that you can view below earlier in the week.
Sevilla hosts PSV in the Europa League with a three-goal lead from the first leg. Gakpo, 23, helped the Netherlands team advance to the knockout stages with three goals in five group-stage games.
But, in a major double blow to their chances of moving on in the tournament, they sold both the Liverpool player and Noni Madueke, who had just joined Chelsea, during the January transfer window.
Gakpo completed a $45 million (£37 million/€42 million) move to Anfield and then agreed to a five-and-a-half-year deal there.
