According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal will submit a bid for Declan Rice immediately following the Europa League championship game.
On his YouTube channel, the journalist was discussing the player’s future and claimed that following West Ham’s victory in the European Championship, Arsenal would make a move for the ‘quick’ midfielder.
Next Wednesday’s match between the Hammers and Fiorentina is scheduled, and it appears that an offer from Arsenal may be delivered to David Moyes on Thursday morning.
After the game, Arsenal will make a bid.
Romano revealed his knowledge of Rice.
“Arsenal remain confident in this transaction. Declan Rice is the main reason for the discussions that Arsenal is having on this transaction. The club is after him,” Romano declared.
“There is one crucial point to make: Arsenal will, in my opinion, make a proposition to West Ham following the Conference League final.
“After the final, Arsenal wants to attack the situation. Why after the competition? It makes little sense to discuss now because they are aware that nothing will occur prior to the Conference League final out of respect for West Ham.
West Ham is entirely focused on the championship match, but a bid will be made immediately following the match against Fiorentina.
Apt timing
In terms of timing, Arsenal is approaching this the proper way.
In all honesty, it’s impossible to make a bid for a club’s star player without hurting them, but Arsenal is treating West Ham and Rice with a lot of respect.
Respect will go a long way for Arsenal in this situation, and the fact that they’re letting West Ham complete their Conference League final first will likely lessen the pain for West Ham in terms of losing their top player.
Club to club relationships are crucial in high-dollar transactions like these, and Arsenal is undoubtedly doing West Ham a little favour by facilitating this.
