Juventus attempted to sign Roberto Firmino from Liverpool last summer, and are now set to try again.
Firmino has not made up his mind on where he will play after his contract with Liverpool expires on June 30. But Calciomercato claims that it might go to Italy.
They assert that Firmino is still a target for the Old Lady despite having come “really close” to joining Juventus a year ago.
Jurgen Klopp, the manager of the Reds at the time, allegedly “blew up” Bobby’s chance of heading to Turin. They allegedly haven’t forgotten about him, though. According to rumors, Firmino has been granted the go-ahead by Max Allegri to join Juventus.
The 31-year-old will face “great” and “rich” competition. But supposedly there is still an effort to court Bobby.
They might well land their man without having to deal with Klopp this time.
Firmino has not yet decided what to do.
Firmino continues to be the subject of the most interest for Reds fans out of the four players Liverpool released at the end of the season. It will be intriguing to watch which club the Brazilian chooses to join.
James Milner and Naby Keita’s relocation has already been planned. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been widely linked to a move to Aston Villa in the meanwhile.
However, Bobby’s future is still somewhat hazy. There are undoubtedly going to be a lot of top sides in for him, as Calciomercato hinted.
Last year, he shown that he still has what it takes to compete at the greatest level. You can’t picture Firmino demanding much more than his rumored £180k-a-week salary at Liverpool [Spotrac] without the ego of other similar famous names.
As a result, it’s not surprising to hear that teams like Real Madrid are interested in signing him. It would be amazing to see Firmino accept the No. 9 shirt, which is available at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Juventus is again another excellent choice for Bobby. But they won’t compete in the Champions League the following year, just like the Reds. Perhaps it will be something Firmino prioritizes as his career comes to a close.
But whoever he ends up with will be fortunate to have him. Bobby, I already miss you!
