Chelsea player in talks with three clubs; will join Pulisic in leaving
Romelu Lukaku of Chelsea is reportedly considering quitting the club after what appears to be his final match for the Blues.
Inter Milan is one of the teams rumored to be in talks with Lukaku and Chelsea regarding a transfer. Lukaku is currently aiming for a return to Inter Milan.
Juventus has reportedly entered the race to sign Lukaku together with Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia, according to Sky Sports.
Lukaku allegedly had transfer negotiations with Juventus, according to Sky Sports. The Turin team may have what it takes to defeat both Inter and the Saudi league, but that remains to be seen.
With Lukaku’s departure, there are now two players who are essentially going this weekend. Additionally, Christian Pulisic plans to leave the team and relocate to Italy. According to reports, an agreement has been reached to join AC Milan.
Since joining Chelsea for a second time, the large Belgian striker has endured a dismal career. Thomas Tuchel has praised Lukaku as being “world class,” but Lukaku has just never scored.
Lukaku will probably rank as one of the biggest Premier League money-losing deals.
Get out
Chelsea has demonstrated this summer that they have no trouble selling players, so they now need to put pressure on Lukaku to go.
There is clearly a problem with the Belgian at Chelsea, and everyone would benefit from him leaving.
Chelsea will avoid paying large salaries and, with any chance, recover some of their investment.
Of course, they won’t receive anywhere close to the nearly £100 million sum they forked down. In fact, reaching even half of that amount will be considered a huge success.
