One of the most intriguing young talents to emerge in recent years is Doak. The teenager, who Jurgen Klopp signed from Celtic for the U18s last summer, is already a strong candidate for the Liverpool first team.
The Liverpool Echo reports that there is now even more optimism for his future. Big things are anticipated for Doak because it’s been said that the team thinks they have a “unique” potential on their hands.
The player has allegedly been “soaking up” all he can from Klopp’s stars in an effort to establish that he belongs among the senior players.
According to reports, Andy Robertson and Salah are two of the celebrities most eager to assist Doak. Robertson in particular is supposed to be “keeping an eye out” for Doak as his young teammate’s countryman.
Salah reportedly took the time to “pass on wisdom” to the child in the interim. That assistance was crucial for the Scotland U21 international because Mo and Doak shared the same position.
Doak is claimed to be “respectful” of Salah, Robertson, and the entire Klopp team, but he’s also believed to be “not overawed” by them either.
Salah imparting knowledge to Doak
It currently appears quite improbable that Liverpool will add another forward to their roster this summer.
A couple of them have been connected to them. Especially Malcom, who has apparently been drawing attention this week, and Federico Chiesa, whose agents they claim to have met. However, neither appears to be very likely to occur.
Jurgen Klopp will therefore start the season with what he has.
Fortunately, it turns out that what he possesses is quite a little. There will be disagreement about the preferred front three, but Salah will be included regardless of who else joins him. However, Liverpool lacks a natural senior successor for the Egyptian without another acquisition.
The fact that Mo is scheduled to go for AFCON in January presents a potential issue.
It needn’t, though, be a major conundrum for Jurgen. When Doak joined the team last year, he frequently occupied Salah’s right-side position. Despite being a right-footer, the young former Celtic player seemed at comfortable there. That’s where Doak will probably get his chance as Klopp juggles Europa League and domestic cup matches.
There’s a good chance he can take it if he’s been paying attention to Mo and absorbing what he says. The chance exists to pick the brain of one of the greatest Reds players ever. Few people will receive that kind of education. Ben, use it.
