Man Utd feels €70m asking price for Rasmus Hojlund is ‘too much’
Rasmus Hojlund of Atalanta is now being marketed by Manchester United, who think the asking price is too high.
Andre Onana, the custodian for Inter Milan, is currently on the verge of joining the Red Devils. After the Cameroonian celebrity underwent his physical, an announcement is anticipated.
In the middle of this, United is allegedly preparing an initial offer for Hojlund, but according to Tuttomercatoweb, the club believes the striker’s €70 million worth is exorbitant.
According to the Italian publication, Atalanta prefers a cash-only trade and won’t consider signing Mason or Fred Greenwood in exchange for Hojlund.
If they can sign a young player with “future promise” and respectable pay, there might be an exception. The Bergamo team would find Amad Diallo to be an appealing choice.
Man United should not sell Amad as part of the Hojlund transaction.
Erik ten Hag, the manager of United, has made Hojlund his top target for a striker in recent weeks. Terms have already been agreed upon with the Dane, and a formal offer may be forthcoming.
As things stand, Atlanta will not agree to a price reduction. However, if Amad is included as a makeweight for the 20-year-old, the Serie A team may be able to negotiate a lower sum.
Although Amad hasn’t yet established himself as a regular with the first team, we think United should avoid losing him permanently this summer.
With 14 goals and three assists during his successful loan season with Sunderland last year, the €21 million star has shown promise throughout preseason games.
For his growth, a season-long loan with a top team would be ideal. If Atlanta wants to re-sign him, it ought to be on a short-term arrangement rather than a long-term one.
