According to Bild, Harry Kane would even forfeit some of his pay to make up the difference between Bayern Munich and Tottenham’s assessments of him.
According to the source, Bayern is now prepared to pay Tottenham €85 million (£73 million) for Kane plus €10 million (£8.5 million) in bonuses, but this sum is insufficient to win them over.
The center-forward is reportedly eager to complete the transfer as soon as possible and is “getting ready” to make his German club debut on August 12 in the Supercup against RB Leipzig.
To sign with Bayern, Harry Kane might accept a pay cut.
The England captain allegedly has the option to “buy himself free” by forgoing a sizable portion of his €24 million (£20.6 million) annual pay to close the gap between the two clubs if Tottenham rejects Bayern’s most recent offer.
According to the report, Bayern would be able to make up for Kane’s loss by giving him other bonuses in the future. The Bundesliga’s heavyweights are said to still be “optimistic” about closing the agreement as things stand.
