To celebrate the team’s historic treble-winning season, Kevin De Bruyne gave his Manchester City teammates personalized golden iPhones.
The Belgian superstar distributed 26 specially commissioned phones, each worth $5,000, ahead of the start of the new Premier League season.
At an unexpected meeting on Thursday, De Bruyne gave a presentation of the opulent goods created by the world’s top custom mobile designers, iDesign Gold.
The decision was motivated by Lionel Messi’s earlier this year gift of 35 24-karat gold iPhones, valued at £175,000, to Argentina’s World Cup-winning team and staff.
Pep Guardiola’s team is in negotiations to establish a collaboration to produce one-of-a-kind, customized iPhones as a result of captain Kevin De Bruyne’s suggestion.
The 32-year-old stated, “I’ve been working with IDG for a few years.” They’re like works of art, and I particularly admire their limited edition phones!
The 2022–23 campaign was the most successful in City’s 129-year existence as Guardiola’s club became just the second English team to win the Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup.
The midfield star arranged for each player to receive an iPhone 14 with their name and team logo engraved on the cover, as well as Guardiola and the club’s owner Sheik Mansour.
Ben Lyons, CEO and creative director of iDesign Gold, stated: “We were honored to collaborate with Kevin since our aim is to empower people to embrace their identity, express their unique flair, and make a big statement in the digital world.
