Towards the end of the last window, Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney joined Real Sociedad on a season-long loan deal.
The left-back has played five times for the La Liga team and was present when the Gunners defeated Manchester City in the Community Shield. He was taken off the field due to injury in the 25th minute of his most recent game versus Athletic on Saturday.
As reported by AS, La Real has confirmed the injury suffered by the player owned by Arsenal.
‘Kieran Tierney sustained an injury to his left hamstring during yesterday’s game. Physiotherapy has been used to treat the patient. ‘Depending on the nature of the injury and the development of the symptoms, the return to his activities will be gradual,’ read a statement from Real Sociedad.
The Scottish international’s injuries are not known to have been severe, and the Spanish club has not stated when he will be eligible for selection once more.
According to AS, the fullback will be out for roughly a month, which will prevent him from playing in the national team’s European qualifying match against Spain and a later-this-month friendly against France.
According to AS, the Arsenal defender won’t likely make a comeback until after the month of October’s international break, and Real Sociedad will visit RCD Mallorca on October 21.
