On Sunday, Arsenal will travel to the Anfield Stadium to face Liverpool in an effort to continue their impressive run of form in the Premier League. The Gunners will be confident entering into this weekend’s match after their impressive 4-1 triumph over Leeds United in their most recent trip.
Mikel Arteta is anticipated to choose a 4-2-3-1 configuration and make a few adjustments to the Starting Lineup. Leandro Trossard should move to the sidelines as Bukayo Saka rejoins the front line.
4-2-3-1 Expected Arsenal Lineup vs. Leeds United
After giving up a goal in his most recent league game against the Whites, Aaron Ramsdale will remain the Gunners’ starting goalkeeper. At the center of Arsenal’s defense alongside Gabriel, Rob Holding will once more work to fend off incoming attacks from the opposition.
Ben White will play right back, and Oleksandr Zincheko will play left back in an effort to make an impression. To generate enough opportunities while yet being defensively compact, they both need to make forward runs out on the wide zones.
In an effort to provide coverage for the defensive positions, Kieran Tierney will be starting on the bench.
Midfield
Arsenal’s midfield will be led by Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey as they attempt to dominate the opposition in the middle of the park.
Odegaard, who will be playing as an advanced attacking midfielder, will be the primary playmaker for Arsenal in the opponent’s half. Bukayo Saka will attempt to work his magic from the other flank while Gabriel Martinelli will continue on the left flank.
If Arteta decides to use his talents, Jorginho and Fabio Vieira will have to make do with a seat on the bench while they wait for their turn to shine in the second half.
Attack
As was already noted, Gabriel Jesus is anticipated to lead the attack against the opposition since he believes that being the center of Arsenal’s assault will increase his chances of scoring.
Leandro Trossard will sit on the bench to serve as a backup in the offensive positions.
