The medical staff at Arsenal, according to manager Mikel Arteta, had given Jurrien Timber permission to stay on the play just prior to his injury.
At the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, the Dutchman made his Premier League debut in a 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest. He first appeared to have an issue after colliding with Brennan Johnson in the first half.
After that incident, Timber persisted and stayed in the starting lineup as the Gunners re-emerged after the interval. However, an issue arose once more in a matter of minutes. He dropped to the ground clutching his leg after receiving the ball. After being taken off the pitch by medical personnel, Timber was replaced by Takehiro Tomiyasu.
Many people were perplexed as to why the former Ajax player was permitted to continue, especially after his issue in the first 45 minutes. In response, Arteta asserts that Timber was fit to continue after halftime inspections.
The Arsenal manager remarked in his post-game news conference: “The physio and doctors looked at him [Timber] and were satisfied to continue. He made a movement in the next instant that felt amusing. We’ll need to evaluate him.
The Gunners have had to deal with a rising number of issues so far this season, and Timber’s case is just the most recent. Gabriel Jesus, a forward, is limited to the sidelines following knee surgery.
For example, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Folarin Balogun were both out from the team that would face Forest on Saturday. With goals from Eddie Nketiah and Bukayo Saka, Arsenal managed to defeat their opponents despite the players’ unavailability.
Late on, Taiwo Awoniyi gave the visitors a glimmer of hope, forcing Arsenal to play strong defense. After observing them let off the gas, Arteta had a stern message for his side.
“You cannot give anything,” the Spaniard continued. We did, however, give them something today—a target and some hope. That cannot occur when playing Premier League teams. The organization, physicality, and competitiveness of this team make it easy for them to score.
The kit has a shock-yellow base color that is accented with pale blue on the collars and sleeves. The shirt’s on-field version is made with Addias’ renowned HEAT.RDY technology is designed to keep players comfortable. The AEROREADY technology, which uses sweat-wicking or absorbent fabrics to keep players feeling dry, is present in the replica version of the kit.
Arsenal will hope to continue their winning start in the Premier League in just over a week’s time as they take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
