Before England’s Euro qualifying matches, Saka joined the team and spoke with talkSPORT.
Arsenal has had a fantastic start to the season with three victories in their first four Premier League games. At the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, Rice eventually scored the game-winning goal as Arsenal defeated United 3-1.
The 24-year-old gave the Gunners a 2-1 lead with a late goal in stoppage time, and Gabriel Jesus sealed the victory.
After transferring from West Ham to Arsenal in the summer, it was Rice’s first goal in an Arsenal jersey. And Saka says the “crazy” atmosphere at the Emirates Stadium has left Rice speechless.
After Arsenal defeated United, Saka shares what Rice said to him.
Saka was questioned by talkSPORT about the moment ‘Rice Rice Baby’ reverberated around the Emirates on Sunday after Arsenal’s newest signing scored the game-winning goal.
Yes, Saka said, “That was amazing man.” I’ve probably watched his goal back more than 20 times.
“It was an unbelievable moment for him, his family and even the stadium. He even told me that the Emirates is crazy when he felt the atmosphere.
“He’s right, it’s really special to play there so I’m just happy that he’s happy. He’s performing and obviously, he got his first goal so I don’t think there’s a better moment for him to get his first goal. I’m happy for him.”
Rice has had a positive start to life in North London, as he has so far made an impression in the centre of the park.
His confidence will only grow after scoring his first goal for the team, and he appears destined to work closely with Mikel Arteta this year.
Thomas Partey’s decline in form last season and Arsenal’s lack of true depth at the base of the midfield seriously hurt their title chances.
But Rice, one of the top midfielders in the Premier League, will undoubtedly offer more than just cover.
