According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United has been keeping an eye on Brighton & Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson, who may seek out a new opportunity in 2019.

With the additions of Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund this summer, the Red Devils strengthened their offense. They have neither yet contributed much to the club.
Before suffering an injury, Mount started the season’s first two games. Hojlund has only made one cameo appearance after recovering from a back problem, which was against Arsenal.
After the international break, the pair should be a key component of the manager’s plans, but it appears United is also looking ahead with a potential signing for Ferguson.
Anthony Martial is now in the last year of his United deal. There are rumors that he might be given a free transfer release. His extension clause might not be triggered by the club.
This might open the door for Ferguson to show up. The Brighton star recently extended his contract until June 2028, but the Manchester Evening News reports that he may be moved in 2024.

Ferguson would be the ideal counterpoint to Hojlund.
When United signed Hojlund away from Atlanta this summer, they made a significant statement. For his services, they paid a large sum of money. In the long run, the Dane ought to play a significant role for them.
The 20-year-old has a great physical presence and a flair for pace. He should be an improvement over Martial, who has not been very impressive this season, given he also has a great eye for goal.
Ferguson is an additional young striker with tremendous promise. He established himself in the English top division at the age of 18, and in a few years, he might emerge as one of the best marksmen in the country.
Before halftime, the teenager scored his first hat trick in a senior game against Newcastle United. In his first four games of the season, he has already scored four goals.
Next summer, United might have to break the bank and pay a club-record figure for Ferguson. They might create one of the best young attacking combos if the club can pry him away.
