The scenario with Ben White, an Arsenal player, and a potential new deal has recently changed, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Arsenal did an outstanding job of renewing the contracts of their star players. Over the past few months, Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, William Saliba, Aaron Ramsdale, Gabriel Martinelli, and Gabriel Magalhaes have all written essays. White’s turn is now.
In the summer of 2021, Arsenal paid £50 million to acquire Ben White from Brighton and Hove Albion. According to Fabrizio Romano, contract negotiations for White are progressing.
The Englishman eventually became the Gunners’ most expensive defender of all time, and his asking price at the time raised many eyebrows.
White has excelled for Arsenal over the past three years, though. He has been among the nation’s top right-backs since the beginning of last season.
Although White still has two and a half years left on his contract with the Gunners, they are unwilling to take a gamble. They want to bind him to a new contract, and Romano claims that Edu and company are making headway.

A new round of negotiations for Ben White’s new contract at Arsenal, as requested on Sunday, will take place shortly, he tweeted just a short while ago. As it moves forward, I feel good.
White wants to stay, and Arsenal does not feel any compulsion to reward Ben with a new, longer-term contract or a higher income.
The Gunners have taken this to heart.
Arsenal messed up player contracts for years.
The likes of Robin van Persie, Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could all dictate terms if they were permitted to reach the last year of their deals.
At Arsenal, Edu has entirely altered that. The absence of players putting the team in a precarious situation currently demonstrates that the Gunners have learned from their past errors.
It would be a huge win for the Gunners if White does extend his contract and stay at Arsenal.
