Joshua Kimmich drops major transfer hint amid Barcelona and Premier League interest
The midfielder for Bayern Munich has made references to a possible departure from the team. According to Christian Falk, the footballer has “asked around for an agent” in light of his uncertain future at Munich.
“What will happen with Joshua Kimmich’s future is unclear,” the BILD reporter said in his special Fact Files piece to CaughtOffside.
“The club is keeping an eye on him because he isn’t performing at his best right now. Bayern hopes to hold onto him.
“With a contract that expires in 2025, he is among the highest paid at €20 million annually. They now need to discuss a new deal, and the team is claiming that he isn’t capable of receiving any more for his efforts.
Perhaps both parties will agree to split up if they are unable to come to an agreement.
“Kimmich is the only player at Bayern Munich without an agent, but in order to facilitate his departure to another nation, he would need to adjust that.
“Premier League teams and Barcelona are keeping an eye on him, but if he wants to get a move overseas, he’ll need an agent.” I’ve heard that he’s made inquiries about hiring an agency.
With just two league games missed due to suspension, the rumored Sky Blues target (TeamTalk) has been a constant for the Bavarians this season.
What could be Kimmich’s summertime destination?
At the end of the season, Kimmich’s future could very well depend on how well he gets along with manager Thomas Tuchel.
The German tactician and the 28-year-old have been at odds about the player’s place on the pitch; the latter is adamant that the player is not a No. 6.
The Bayern star may have a legitimate chance to go into a more senior role in Catalonia, but Pep Guardiola, the former head coach, may have an even stronger attraction.
Barcelona’s continuous financial difficulties are also a factor to consider in any possible deal!
